In keeping with the Florida Constitution and the Orange County Charter,
Orange County is required to undergo a redistricting process after each federal
census. The process aims to reconfigure the political boundaries of the six County
Commission Districts to account for population changes as indicated by the census.
The U.S. Census Bureau completed the latest census in 2020, and the County
subsequently completed its required redistricting process on February 22, 2022.
The Orange County Board of County Commissioners established the Orange County
Advisory Committee for Redistricting in August 2021. The Committee's recommendations
were presented to the Orange County Board of County Commissioners on January 25, 2022.
The Board then held a public hearing in February where it further reviewed and discussed
the Committee's recommendations and then adopted Ordinance
2022-06, which approved the final County Commission District map. You can find an interactive version of the map by clicking here.
