This year, Dehlice Ruggio, a senior and member of the Evans Community Partnership School Leadership Cabinet, had the opportunity to travel to Tallahassee for a week to serve as a Senate Page. Thanks to the Children1s Home Society of Florida, Dehlice was able to spend the week shadowing the Florida State Senators, participate in a simulation of a bill presentation, sit in on hearings, meetings, and other events, and learn what it is like to serve as a lawmaker at the State level. Dehlice shared that the experience was life-changing and furthered her desire to major in political science in college the next year.
