CONSERVATION EFFORTS UNDERWAY AT THE FAIRGROUNDS

While we are still months away from the start of the 2024 Central Florida Fair, that doesn’t mean they are waiting until then to improve its grounds. While most people focus on the 10-day fair as all that happens at the fairgrounds, the year-long operation works daily to maintain the property and host various events. Recently, the organization planted almost 80 cypress trees to help reduce erosion and flooding, improve drainage, and increase shade along the shore of neighboring Lake Lawne. Additional cypress trees will be planted in the second phase to help improve project outcomes on the 87-acre property.
